Jack’s Story: Growing with the Agency and Helping Shape Its Future

Jack’s journey with Get Better spans more than three and a half years, beginning at a time when both he and the agency were still defining what they would become.

He first joined as a Marketing Assistant while at university, supporting the team across a wide range of tasks and learning the inner workings of a growing agency. Even at that early stage, his role exposed him to multiple parts of the business, laying the foundations for the path he would eventually step into.

Over time, he transitioned into an administrative support role alongside his studies, before returning full-time 15 months ago as Partnerships and Community Executive. Since then, his role has evolved into Growth and Partnerships Lead, reflecting both his own progression and the increasing importance of partnerships as a core driver of the agency’s success.

Looking back, the scale of that progression is clear.

“It’s changed massively, coming in as an intern helping all the team with many different tasks, roles and responsibilities, to now contributing to what the agency has been built off, which is partnerships, and helping develop systems, marketing and processes to contribute to the long-term growth of Get Better.”

With that progression came the development of skills and responsibilities that extended far beyond what he initially expected. Trust, communication, accountability, and leadership have all become central to his role, alongside learning how to delegate and think strategically about long-term growth.

His growth was shaped not just by opportunity, but by being part of the agency during pivotal moments. In the early stages of the company’s development, when the team faced periods of intense pressure, he stepped up to help support the wider team and contribute wherever needed.

In one such moment, he recognised the importance of looking beyond immediate workload and considering the wellbeing of those around him.

“In my review I highlighted the necessity for understanding how others were feeling.”

This awareness reflects a leadership mindset that extends beyond performance alone, focusing on building sustainable, supportive systems as the agency continues to grow.

Today, Jack plays a central role in driving Get Better’s growth through partnerships, marketing development, and internal infrastructure. His work spans building and managing partner relationships, developing marketing systems, improving CRM infrastructure, and contributing to the agency’s long-term growth strategy.

What he enjoys most is the variety and the opportunity to work at both strategic and human levels.

“Whether it’s speaking to a founder or decision maker about how they want to develop their customer journey, chatting with partners about how we can improve our clients’ setups, or working on back-end processes and longer-term plans for marketing, it’s just an exciting, varied role in a fast-developing agency from where I started out.”

Alongside external growth, he has also played a key role in strengthening the agency’s internal foundations. He helped launch the company website, establish its email newsletter and social presence, and modernise internal systems such as the CRM and project management infrastructure. These contributions have helped build the operational backbone that supports Get Better’s continued expansion.

Equally important to him has been the experience of growing alongside the team itself.

“Seeing others grow, develop and succeed in what they’re doing is just so nice to see. Watching people carve out their areas of expertise and thrive at what they do, it’s an exciting group of people to be around and work with.”

After more than three years with the agency, his perspective reflects both personal progression and a deep belief in the environment that enabled it.

“The people, the environment, the trust and support. I’ve never worked in a better place.”

As Get Better continues to grow, Jack’s journey reflects what is possible when individuals are given trust, ownership, and the opportunity to develop alongside the business itself. From supporting the team as a student to now helping shape the agency’s growth strategy, his progression mirrors the trajectory of Get Better as a whole.

“You should 100% apply. It’s a place where you’re able to scale your professional ambitions and grow into roles you didn’t expect, with immense support from the team around you.”
